But there was one problem I was scared as hell. It felt like I was going to be sick. Yes, there was only one thought going through my head. are they gonna like my music? Since I was new and a lot of students have done this I was still scared I thought I was going to faint or freeze but I didn't.
I had so much self-doubt in me. Cause if I get something wrong I thought I would certainly die of shock. My palms were sweaty, my throat was dry, I thought nobody would like it.
Then I heard my name being called out to go on stage. then all I heard was silence. Not a peep out of anyone I had butterflies running through my stomach. And when I opened my mouth to ask the technician to turn the beat on they all clapped and I didn't even start yet. but they still clapped and then all the teachers told them to shhh…
Then I started everyone was stunned because they've never heard anyone destroy racism of any type.
when I was finished and left the stage they were still screaming out my name to do more. Obviously, I felt like I was a special little boy. But when the whole thing was over and I went to class for second place equal they clapped and cheered for me. With their motion of their hands and the noise, They were making me feel dizzy. The one thing going through my head now was that everyone knew my name.
From this experience, I knew that I could be better on if I tried doing things I dreamed of doing. So I'd followed my dreams.

ReplyDeleteHOIII!!! Dasharn!!!
ReplyDeleteyou'r post was quite good because of how you used your 5 senses to explain what was going on and what you were thinking, seeing and feeling. this reminded me of when i was doing my speech with the dry t throat and sweating. next time maybe you could put some more details in each of your paragraphs and add more words in some of your paragraphs
shot bro i will try next time brah
